Who runs this
Contact: hello@skipclerk.com.
The site exists because hiring a skip is a weekday problem with a few repeatable questions – size, permit, what can go in – and most answers sit on hire-company blogs next to a booking form. We would rather write the answer first and keep the sales pitch, if any, labelled.
There is no invented biography, no editorial board, and no claim that we have tested every skip in Britain. Pages are written from official rules (Highways Act 1980, GOV.UK skip licence guidance, the waste duty of care) and from what UK operators consistently say when they agree. Where they do not agree, the page says so.
One new useful page is intended each night: a skip size, a job type, a prohibited-waste note, a council permit, or a town. Old pages get a date at the top so you can see when they were last checked.
If something is wrong, email the address above.

Photos show open-top builders' skips on streets and drives. We prefer bright, well-composed shots. UK Geograph where the frame is clean; otherwise Northern European open-top street scenes of the same skip type. No trailers, enclosed industrial bins, or lifestyle stock.
