Skip hire in Adisham

First published 13 October 2026. Last checked 13 October 2026.

Adisham is in the Kent County Council highway area (not Medway). A skip on the public road needs that council's licence – the hire firm applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

About Adisham

Adisham is a village and civil parish about six miles south-east of Canterbury, on the B2046 between Wingham and Barham. It is a clustered village within half a kilometre of Aylesham, on one of the routes of the Pilgrims' Way.

The church of Holy Innocents dates from around the late 12th century, and Adisham station on the Dover branch of the Chatham Main Line opened in 1861.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or "top skips in Adisham". Check the carrier's CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Private drive vs road

Local notes

Adisham is in the Kent County Council highway area. The village centre is on the B2046 between Wingham and Barham; a skip on that road needs a Kent permit, which the hire company applies for at least five working days ahead. Aylesham is very close by, so give your exact address and postcode when you book.

Kent County Council recycling-centre guidance covers what household DIY waste each site accepts; rules and any booking or charges change, so check before you travel and keep plasterboard separate when asked. Source: Kent household waste recycling centres.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Kent County Council area (not Medway) and ask them to apply. Recheck the council fees page on the day you book.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £45 figure is Kent County Council's published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
