Skip hire in Ash (Sevenoaks)

First published 9 October 2026. Last checked 9 October 2026.

Ash (Sevenoaks) is in the Kent County Council highway area (not Medway). A skip on the public road needs that council's licence – the hire firm applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

About Ash (Sevenoaks)

Ash is a small village and former civil parish in the Sevenoaks district of Kent. It shares the parish of Ash-cum-Ridley with the nearby villages of Ridley and New Ash Green.

The London Golf Club is in the village and hosted the European Open on the PGA European Tour in 2008 and 2009.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or "top skips in Ash (Sevenoaks)". Check the carrier's CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Private drive vs road

Local notes

Ash is a small village on the edge of New Ash Green; on narrow lanes a private drive is usually easier than the road. This page is Ash in Sevenoaks district, not Ash near Sandwich (see Skip hire in Ash, Kent). A road skip must carry the owner's name and a 24-hour contact number, be lit at night, and be removed as soon as practicable once it is full (Highways Act section 139(4)).

Kent County Council recycling-centre guidance covers what household DIY waste each site accepts; rules and any booking or charges change, so check before you travel and keep plasterboard separate when asked. Source: Kent household waste recycling centres.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Kent County Council area (not Medway) and ask them to apply. Recheck the council fees page on the day you book.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £45 figure is Kent County Council's published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
