Skip hire in Eythorne

First published 30 September 2026. Last checked 30 September 2026.

Eythorne is in the Kent County Council highway area (not Medway). A skip on the public road needs that council's licence – the hire firm applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

About Eythorne

Eythorne is a civil parish and small village about 7.3 miles north-northwest of Dover in Kent. The parish takes in nearby Barfrestone and Elvington, with a combined population of about 2,500.

It sits about a mile from the former Tilmanstone pit, which closed in 1986; many residents now commute to Dover, Deal and Canterbury.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or "top skips in Eythorne". Check the carrier's CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Kent County Council is the highway authority (not Medway). Full permit detail: Skip permit: Kent County Council. Private drive vs road

Local notes

Eythorne sits north-west of Dover toward the old Tilmanstone pit and Elvington. Prefer a private drive; pit-village streets and lanes toward Barfrestone leave little passing room for a long skip lorry.

Kent County Council recycling-centre guidance covers what household DIY waste each site accepts; rules and any booking or charges change, so check before you travel and keep plasterboard separate when asked. Source: Kent household waste recycling centres.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Kent County Council area (not Medway) and ask them to apply. Recheck the council fees page on the day you book.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £45 figure is Kent County Council's published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
