Skip hire in Four Elms

First published 7 October 2026. Last checked 7 October 2026.

Four Elms is in the Kent County Council highway area (not Medway). A skip on the public road needs that council's licence – the hire firm applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

About Four Elms

Four Elms is a village within the civil parish of Hever, in Sevenoaks District. It stands on a crossroads between Edenbridge and Sevenoaks, about two miles north-east of Edenbridge.

Its church of St Paul was built in 1881 and shares a united benefice with Hever and Markbeech.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or "top skips in Four Elms". Check the carrier's CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Private drive vs road

Local notes

Four Elms is on a crossroads between Edenbridge and Sevenoaks, so a road skip near the junction needs care. Prefer a private drive. Kent says no skip may block access to any premises without the occupier's consent, and it checks the site is suitable before it issues the licence.

Kent County Council recycling-centre guidance covers what household DIY waste each site accepts; rules and any booking or charges change, so check before you travel and keep plasterboard separate when asked. Source: Kent household waste recycling centres.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Kent County Council area (not Medway) and ask them to apply. Recheck the council fees page on the day you book.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £45 figure is Kent County Council's published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
