Skip hire in Goudhurst

First published 2 October 2026. Last checked 2 October 2026.

Goudhurst is in the Kent County Council highway area (not Medway). A skip on the public road needs that council's licence – the hire firm applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

About Goudhurst

Goudhurst is a village and civil parish in the borough of Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It lies in the Weald about twelve miles south of Maidstone, on the crossroads of the A262 and B2079.

The parish has three wards – Goudhurst, Kilndown and Curtisden Green – plus hamlets such as Bedgebury Cross, Iden Green, Stonecrouch and Winchet Hill.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or "top skips in Goudhurst". Check the carrier's CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Private drive vs road

Local notes

Goudhurst sits on the Weald crossroads of the A262 and B2079 south of Maidstone. Prefer a private drive; the hilltop High Street and approaches toward Kilndown leave little turning room for a large builders' skip.

Kent County Council recycling-centre guidance covers what household DIY waste each site accepts; rules and any booking or charges change, so check before you travel and keep plasterboard separate when asked. Source: Kent household waste recycling centres.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Kent County Council area (not Medway) and ask them to apply. Recheck the council fees page on the day you book.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £45 figure is Kent County Council's published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
