Skip hire in Kensington and Chelsea

First published 12 September 2026. Last checked 12 September 2026.

Kensington and Chelsea is a HoC Core city (London) – not one of the 1,174 small/medium/large towns. A skip on the public road needs the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea highway process – the skip company usually applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Kensington and Chelsea”. Check the carrier’s CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Which authority

Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is the highway authority for borough roads here. Full permit detail: Skip permit: Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. On that page (checked 12 Sep 2026): £153 for one month. licences issued/renewed for one month only. London map: Skip hire in London.

Local notes

Fee note from Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s published page (or an honest note when none was printed), rechecked 12 Sep 2026 – not a hire quote.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea highway area and ask them to apply. Give them the notice on the permit page.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk lists rules and council links, not a directory of firms. When we add a booking partner it will be labelled (affiliate) on partners.
