Skip permit: Oxfordshire County Council

If the skip sits on a public road in the Oxfordshire County Council area, you need a highway skip licence. On the council page checked 24 Sep 2026: £125 for 7 days (not on bus route). at least 5 working days. A skip wholly on private land you control does not need this licence.

You usually do not apply as a householder. Tell the hire firm at booking and give them the notice the council asks for. Do not put the skip on the pavement unless the licence allows it.
