Skip hire in Connah's Quay

First published 11 September 2026. Last checked 11 September 2026.

Connah’s Quay sits in Flintshire on the Dee estuary. A skip on the public highway needs Flintshire Council’s skip permit. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Connah's Quay”. Check the carrier’s CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Which authority

Flintshire Council is the highway authority. Full permit detail: Skip permit: Flintshire Council. On that page (checked 11 September 2026): £60 for the first week, £25 each subsequent week, at least two working days’ notice, £5 million public liability. Nation map: Skip hire in Wales.

Private drive vs road

Local placement note

Industrial and estate roads toward the waterfront are usually easier for skip lorries than denser terrace streets inland. Still budget the first-week £60 even for a short road stay, and give the firm two working days.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm which principal council applies and ask them to apply. Use the notice period on the permit page.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £60 first week figure is the council’s published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
