Skip hire in Dunblane

First published 11 September 2026. Last checked 11 September 2026.

Dunblane sits under Stirling Council. Stirling Council is the roads authority. A skip on the public road needs a Section 85 builders’ skip permit – £39 / week; ≥7 days (checked 11 September 2026). A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. Dunblane sits on the Allan Water under Stirling Council, north of Stirling. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Dunblane”. Check the carrier on SEPA, then ask who will apply for the road permit.

Private drive vs road

High Street and cathedral approaches

High Street and cathedral approaches are tight for larger skips. Prefer private hardstanding; Stirling’s fee is £39 per week with at least seven days’ notice (a month if the street is traffic-sensitive).

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, name the roads authority and ask the firm to apply. Scotland is not Highways Act 1980.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it on SEPA – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £39 figure is the council’s published weekly permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
