Skip hire in Kinmel Bay

First published 11 September 2026. Last checked 11 September 2026.

Kinmel Bay sits on the Conwy coast beside Rhyl. A skip on the public highway needs Conwy’s skip licence. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Kinmel Bay”. Check the carrier’s CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Which authority

Conwy County Borough Council is the highway authority. Full permit detail: Skip permit: Conwy Council. On that page (checked 11 September 2026): £71.90 plus £14.40 parking restriction for 28 days (retrospective £117), at least five working days. Nation map: Skip hire in Wales.

Private drive vs road

Local placement note

Holiday-park approaches and seafront parking restrictions make roadside skips awkward in season. Prefer private hardstanding; Conwy’s fee is £71.90 plus £14.40 parking restriction for 28 days, with at least five working days’ notice.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm which principal council applies and ask them to apply. Use the notice period on the permit page.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £71.90 (+ £14.40 parking) figure is the council’s published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
