Skip hire in Liskeard

First published 7 September 2026. Last checked 7 September 2026.

Liskeard sits inland in south-east Cornwall on the A38 corridor; Cornwall Council issues the highway skip licence. A skip on the public road needs a Cornwall Council licence – the skip company applies, not you. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Liskeard”. Check the carrier’s CBDU number, then ask who will apply for the road licence.

Local placement note

Liskeard’s closer tips include sites toward Saltash and Bodmin (Lanivet). Saltash and Bodmin need a booked tip slot; Bodmin does not take DIY waste. For soil, rubble or plasterboard, check Cornwall’s charges list for an accepting site, or use a licensed skip. How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, tell the firm you are in Cornwall Council and ask them to apply. Give them at least two weeks.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £115 / £163 figures are Cornwall Council’s published permit fees, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
