Skip hire in Larbert and Stenhousemuir

First published 11 September 2026. Last checked 11 September 2026.

Larbert and Stenhousemuir sits in Falkirk. Falkirk Council is the roads authority. A skip on the public road needs a Section 85 permit – £50.10/week; ≥7 days (checked 11 September 2026). Falkirk charges £50.10 per week with at least seven days’ notice and a location plan. A skip wholly on a private drive you control does not need that permit. This page is placement and waste rules, not a list of firms.

Skip Clerk does not invent provider rankings, phone numbers or “top skips in Larbert and Stenhousemuir”. Check the carrier on SEPA, then ask who will apply for the road permit.

Private drive vs road

Hospital and station approaches

Hospital and station approaches can be busy. Prefer private hardstanding, and email roads.permits@falkirk.gov.uk via the hire firm with a location plan (≥1:1250) and the seven-day lead.

How to hire without a fake directory

  1. Decide the size from the job – What size skip do I need?.
  2. If it has to sit on the road, name the roads authority and ask the firm to apply. Scotland is not Highways Act 1980.
  3. Ask for the waste-carrier number and check it on SEPA – how to check a waste carrier licence.
  4. Keep plasterboard, electricals and sofas out of a mixed skip unless the operator says otherwise – what you cannot put in a skip.

Skip Clerk has no hire partners yet and no prices for skip hire on this page. The £50.10 figure is the council’s published permit fee, not a hire quote. When we add a booking link it will be marked as an affiliate link.
